The automatic power exchange station is a one-stop automatic battery exchange equipment for mobile robots. The emergence of a new “energy supply station” provides source power for 24/7 uninterrupted operations.

Compared with the original robot, which takes 1.5 hours to charge, it only takes 2 minutes to change the battery automatically. The use of a power station can ensure the 24/7 uninterrupted operation of the mobile robot, eliminating the waiting time for charging.

For conventional projects, it is necessary to prepare 15%-20% more AMRs for charging rotation. For projects that enable automatic power-swapping stations, only 15%-20% of the batteries need to be prepared for power-swapping rotation. The cost of changing the power station + battery is far less than the cost of AMR.

More than just “speed and passion”, safety is more important in production operations. The robot changes batteries automatically throughout the process without manual intervention, which greatly avoids risks such as human misoperation, electric shock, and fire. The battery compartment of the swap station centrally manages the batteries, has a built-in smoke alarm and fire detection system, and the multi-level protection mechanism is safer (the battery compartment supports the arrangement of fireproof materials).

During the power exchange process, the AMR is not powered on but still can maintain normal communication with the upper system. After the battery replacement is completed, it can immediately return to work, and the business does not need to be interrupted.

Intelligent battery management

The battery swap station will come with a battery management system to monitor battery power and capacity changes in real time and estimate battery health status. Battery ID management, based on big data analysis of the battery power change curve, provides a more efficient battery replacement strategy so that the battery can be “replaced” and refilled.

What is the application scenario?

It is applicable to storage projects with more than 50 AMRs. Different application scenarios, with different numbers of battery stations:

  • 50 AMRs: 10 battery positions.
  • 100 AMRs: 20 battery positions.
  • 200 AMRs: 40 battery positions.
